This ongoing photo series is partially inspired by the MPAA’s use of the word ‘peril’ in their determination of children’s film ratings. Peril isn’t indicative of outright violence, but rather, events that may induce a sense of danger or anxiety in a child.

Through the imagery of Peril/Play, I want to replicate a child’s interiority towards danger without danger acting as a definitive presence.
